Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:
 

Warehouse manager who is an organized, proactive, and dynamic leader. The warehouse manager directs receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. Duties include supervising staff, preparing schedules for warehouse associates, training employees on how to use machinery and monitoring compliance with safety standards. Maintains and updates food safety documentation in compliance with good agricultural practices.  The candidate not only organizes and leads the warehouse team but must also be familiar with every position on the team to ensure everyone completes task in a timely fashion. The warehouse manager must lead by example, adapt quickly to changing business conditions, and have a constant drive for company-wide and team improvement.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • ​Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by managing operational procedures, scheduling and assigning employees.

  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; and advise management on needed actions.

  • Maintain food safety standards and safeguards warehouse operations by maintaining and establishing best-in-class procedures and protocols.

  • Control inventory levels by managing physical counts and reconciling with supply chain software.

  • Maintain efficient operations by planning and implementing new strategies as needed.

  • Ensure orders are picked accurately, checked and loaded into delivery vehicles or ready for pick-up with necessary documents. Train new employees on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Follow up and audit performance to ensure continuous growth. 

  • Manage staffing and scheduling  on a week-to-week basisto meet changing business demands.

  • Analyze and resolve work problems and assists team members in solving problems.

  • Lead by example and contribute to team effort by coaching, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Requirements and Qualifications:
 

  • Three or more years of warehouse and supervisory experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred but not required.

Receiving Manager

Job Summary:
 

Receiving Manager who is an organized, attentive, and dynamic leader. The receiving manager coordinates with buyers, warehouse teams, and logistic vendors for all inbound shipments. The candidate not only oversees inventory and staffing but must also be familiar with every position on the team to ensure everyone completes tasks in a timely fashion. The receiving manager must have experience working with Asian produce, adapt quickly to changing business conditions, and have a constant drive for company-wide and team-improvement. The receiving manager may be involved in hiring and disciplining associates as needed.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review, schedule, and plan for all incoming shipments.

  • Coordinate with Buyers and logistic vendors for order status and plan for any anticipated problem with the shipments.

  • Review, inspect, and ensure all incoming shipments meet company standards for quality and accurate quantity counts.

  • Manage staffing and scheduling on a week-to-week basis to meet changing business demands.

  • Manage staff’s performance and productivity levels.

  • Maintain food safety standards and safeguard receiving procedures by maintaining and establishing best-in-class protocols.

  • Train new associates to unload, stack, and distribute products to appropriate locations.

  • Train new employees on the proper use and maintenance of equipment and facilities Follow up and audit performance to ensure continuous growth. Maintain efficient operations by planning and implementing new strategies as needed.

Required Qualification:

Responsibilities include:
 

  • Unloading and delivery of dry grocery, produce frozen and chilled products to customer locations within the assigned route.

  • Collect payments from customers and record transactions when applicable

  • Resolve service complaints when able, issue credit memos for refused products, return products to the warehouse and maintain effective communications with transportation supervisors, management, and the sales department.

  • Organize end-of-day delivery paperwork for dispatch office

Produce Procurement

Job Summary:
 

Produce Procurement who is strategic, efficient, and adaptive. This position's primary responsibility is to research, evaluate, plan, and buy vegetables and fruits to ensure continuous growth for the company.  Duties include market research, competitor analysis, product evaluations, monitoring purchase orders and creating reports for the management team. The candidate must be well-organized, a critical thinker, and have experience working in the produce industry, Asian produce is preferred.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Select and order merchandise by estimating stock requirements based on inventory on-hand, sales orders, projected volume of sales, and current economic condition.

  • Manage all communication and negotiate with suppliers on price and delivery terms to reduce inventory levels and cost.

  • Manage vendor relations and maintain effective system monitoring all product deliveries from vendors.

  • Prepare and evaluate all bids, contacts and vendor agreements and ensure accuracy.

  • Prepare and manage POs from beginning to end.

  • Daily interaction with Warehouse and Receiving teams to stay up to date with condition and quantity of inventory.

  • Interact with customers to build relationships and understand their preferences.

  • Communicate with Sales team to understand current market prices to stay competitive and customer’s preferences.

Requirements and Qualifications:
 

  • ​Five or more years of experience in the produce industry, ethnic produce experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, while efficiently and effectively with team members.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.  

  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

HR Generalist

Job Summary:
 

HR Generalist who is positive, able to streamline processes, and problem solve.  This is a new role for the company.  The candidate is a people person, proactive, with experience handling a wide range of human resources tasks.  The individual must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must have excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently, and enjoy the challenge of supporting a company of diverse people.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall HR support for management at the company.

  • Develop and maintain office and company policies, handbook, and the like.  Streamline existing policies and procedures.  Ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with the federal/local regulations, implemented appropriately after approval.

  • Manage recruiting workflow including online assessments, interviews, employment offers, pre-employment tests, background checks, correspondence with candidates, etc.  Develop a network of sources for potential candidates to support the functions within the organization. Coordinate talent acquisition process with hiring managers and lead recruitment tasks as directed.

  • Develop onboarding and exit programs.  Conduct exit interviews.

  • Assist management in structuring, creating and implementing training plans and programs for all departments including safety training to be in compliance with OSHA.  Lead team training.

  • Handle internal staff inquiries, complaints, discipline, injuries, and worker’s compensation issues as appropriate or as needed.

  • Ensure top HR performance of company staff by providing adequate coaching and guidance.  Keep up to date with HR best practices and inform management.

Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
 

An administrative assistant who has strong communication skills, is well organized, and can effectively prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.  An administrative assistant performs a wide variety of the company’s operations, including customer service, and supports the administrative team.  This position requires various administrative tasks, managing calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments, securing travel arrangements, and submitting expense reports.  The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a can-do positive attitude.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a wide variety administrative responsibility for management at the company.

  • Manage the Administrator’s calendar, coordinating meetings, and scheduling appointments.

  • Handle and respond to incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, text messages, etc.

  • Arrange travel itineraries, including flights, car rental, accommodations, and transportation.

  • Process and submit expense reports to AP.

  • Organize and coordinate company-wide, team-building events, e.g., annual holiday celebration, volunteer opportunities, and increase participation in same.

Outside Sales Associate

Job Summary:
 

The outside sales manager is an ambassador for Truong Enterprises. The individual is responsible for managing and growing sales in a portfolio of accounts. The manager builds his/her portfolio by expanding the Truong footprint in existing accounts and by generating new business. The manager works at the office and in the field. The position reports to the VP Sales and Marketing.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • ​Manages and grows sales in a portfolio of accounts.

  • Travels to customers to take orders, sell new items, discuss promotions, and the like.

  • Grows the business by opening new accounts and expanding the assortment in existing.

  • Provides excellent customer service by communicating with customers in person, via email, text or phone. 

  • Responds to customer inquiries within 24 hours.

  • Tracks his/her accounts’ performance using sales reports.

  • Knowledgeable about the competition - customers and brands.

  • In partnership with the accounts receivable team, makes sure his/her accounts are current.

  • Represents the company at customer events, trade shows, and the like.

  • Attends team meetings as required.

  • Other responsibilities as required by the evolving needs of the business.

Requirements and Qualifications:
